Well, I'm probably one of the original 6.5'ers but in a military sense. I've only ever shot HP with a surplus Swede rifle in 6.5x55. I've collected the things for over 15 years and have more than I can shake a stick at... My cheap ass only ever thought I would find a short-action to put a .260 on or stay long-action and stick with 6.5x55 for which I have tons of brass... But one thing has always nagged me - I've only shot maybe a dozen matches but I've rung 4-5 rams - to which I'm sure we can blame poor shot placement... But when I saw this rifle was 7mm, the clouds parted and the seas settled and I knew it was a good fit for my "slightly" larger frame. B-)

I told ChickenGeorge "Well, my middle kid didn't really need braces anyway. Every time I see his crooked smile, I'll be reminded of what a nice HP rifle I have in the closet. LOL"

So I'm now a convert. There, I said it. And to show you how far I'm stepping out on the edge, of the zillions of guns I've had or have, this is my first 7mm. I've got nothing for it short of a shell plate. Yep - I'm looking forward to this... from scouring the pawn shops for years looking for a donor action to just ponying up for the complete kit - this is going to be fun!

Mike just let him pay for them...then he will really appreciate the teeth. And besides there is a lot more metal in the rifle.

Well..... it takes a lot to bling a 7mm to look as good as a 6.5, but I'll bet if you send it to Kitty he could help :D
