I can now confirm that we have 76 entries as of this afternoon. I can also confirm that Jerry and I will have a secret weapon for the match - Masshole has agreed to spot for both of us! Look out Steiger!

Dang Gumbo,

What's up with your match??? And, are the CA guys/gals still dragging their collective butts down your way??? Man, I remember a certain top CA shooter taking his rifle out of the case on a Friday morn at your range. When said rifle was tilted, muzzle down, a waterfall of H2O splattered on your range's firing-line. Man, do you guys still have a wee bit of humidity down south? I bet your weather could rust a 416 stainless barrel.

Humidity is just a state of mind! We have been blessed for the past few years with nice weather and not too hot. We have plenty of fans and plenty of ice water on the line! Come on down door the last match of the Southern Nationals and you will not be disappointed!

Dande...you should lead the wrong coast charge to take center podium at the Last Dance. See you there!

Mary,

Hey, watch it with that "wrong coast" moniker.   The West Coast is the Best Coast. The East Coast is the Beast Coast.   I'll have you know I'm just an F-L-A redneck hanging-out in Silicon Valley, CA. As a matter of fact I spent a lot of time in your neck of the woods. Back in the day I was a surfer. Spent many a year surfing from Jacksonville Beach all the way down to South Beach, Miami. But, mostly surfed from Canaveral's Jetty Park down to Sebastian Inlet. Shot my first pistol silhouette match, January of 1980, at the old Brandon range (it used to be on the south side of SR-60 a few miles east of Brandon. Also shot at the Tampa silhouette range quite a bit. And, there used to be a pistol silhouette range between Gainsville and Ocala, east of I-75. Man, was that ever a fun place to shoot. The range was on private property. I was just back in Fla for a visit this past March; did Miami, Tampa and Coco Beach; gave my niece a tour of where her mom and I did a lot of "time."

Dan, Mary is correct in that the Left Coast should be well represented to defend their honor! After all, y'all elected Nancy Pelosi and you should be here to defend yourself! You know that at this match we will talk about everyone that cannot be here to rebutt any disparaging remarks!

Now, Dan, I was up this morning to feed the critters and watched the Discovery make it's last flight over and tip her wings to the folks at the Cape. I am only 6 miles from the runway so I got a good close view of the pass.
Seen every manned shot except Apollo 13 in person (was out of state for that one), I know which is the correct coast! I mean we at least have some crazy Republicans over here, unlike Nancy or Arnie....not to mention Jerry.
So show up in the swamps of LA and show us the Best Coast stuff and bring the troops on.

Mary, Maybe Dan is scared to show up as he may now shoot like his posting classification "B Class"!

Dan,

Sounds like the gauntlet has been thrown down and you need to come and defend the Left Coast!

Herr McLemore,

I must say the time Dadian, Imas, Pfieffer and I attended your match, we all have a splendid time. And, I'll never forget Dadian's face when the water came pouring out of his barrel; don't think he'd ever spent much time in the South East. Our rifles had been "chilling" in the motel room, so that cold steel condensed the LA humidity right quick. It was one of the funnier happenings that match.

Hey, at least it wasn't salt water....and while we are on the discussion of humidity, how about PeEll? Don't believe I have ever been there when it wasn't humid.

Dan,

I am sure that someone will represent the Left Coast this year. After all y'all have done pretty well at our matches!

I just returned to the office today and was informed by Robin that we now have 99 registered shooters. All the RV hook-ups are taken but we do have plenty of room for campers of all types. I am sure that Mary and the usual crew will be staying in the Sheriff's building next to the air and pistol range. If anyone has any specific questions that need to be addressed, you can either call Jerry, Robin or me and we can try to get you an answer. You can also PM me or email me and I will respond in a speedy fashion as my travels are over until after this match.

The pig may be the easiest one to find. The turkey is the hardest one! Good luck!
