The programs made it this afternoon. They look really good and I suggest that you read or look at every page. A few really nice items have special drawings! Kowa, Sightron, Pentax and Pyramid Arms to mention a few of the special drawings

David,

Send me the usual batch please.

We have a match mid-April and I'll pass out what I can.

Well, I know I haven't been around much for a while, and I haven't shot a match in probably a year, but I'm gonna do my best to make it out to the Southern Nationals this year. I had a ton of fun the last time I went, and I would hate to miss the last one. Now I just need to go rob a bank or sell a kidney so I can have some gas money...

Just get the ever popular electric car and leave about a month early to allow plenty of charge time every 50 miles! We realize that gas prices may have a serious effect on our attendance but we will carry on and promise a LARGE time for all!

We'll have plenty of gas for the trip. We're going to eat a lot of beans before we set out on the trip. Oh wait that's the wrong kind of gas.

Try to find someone to carpool with. It makes the trip a lot more fun and saves everyone money. I think JJP and a few others might be coming from within a state or two of you.

A lot of stuff arriving daily! Robin is BUSY!

I think that most people are car pooling to save some money to spend in Louisiana so that they will have more receipts for the Special Receipt Drawing!

Keep the questions and comments coming so my Post Count will increase dramatically!

The latest information from Robin is that we have 49 entries to date with 10 of these being Rookies to the Southern Nationals! As of now we will run 5 relays unless we think that the attendance will exceed 200 and we will then run 6 relays. We will have a better handle on it by the end of next month.

I have separated all the packets for mailing and sending via UPS the really large amount of programs to the usual gun clubs that support us. I need to know is anyone from El Paso is active on Steel Chickens and can PM or email me who to send the El Paso programs to. We have about 40 of them to UPS for distribution. This saves us a tremendous amount of money.

Anyone driving through SC on I20 on the way to Southern Nationals? I'm looking for someone to carpool with. I'm poor and not very social but I bathe regularly. I don't mind driving and I am pretty good at getting out of speeding tickets. I'm not sure what days I will be able to get off work, so scheduling may be an issue. If this sounds like something you can help me out with, let me know.

Until then, I'm trying to convince my buddy to start shooting silhouette. I know he will get addicted and will want to go to Winnsboro. Plus he has deep pockets, so I could see him paying for gas on the drive over there...

For the Monday April 2 update - Now that Robin has about 1/2 of the programs mailed I will begin to register and squad the entries that we have received. I hope to have more time to do this since we do not have to worry about separating a labeling all the awards for each class, etc. It is going to be MUCH easier doing the door prizes.

Sorry for the late update and not a daily update. I have information from Robin that we have 53 registered for the match now. I have printed all the meal tickets and will print all the other related tickets before the end of next week. This is SO much easier on Robin and me by just giving away door prizes! Chuck Deason is a genius! I will begin to put registered shooters in the program and squad and print score cards about May 1. To occupy my time, I will start scanning pictures from all the matches from 1991 to date that I have and post them in our Facebook page! I am sure that we will have many comments!

For the update on April 10 (just five days till taxes due!).

When you receive the copy of the program please go immediately to Page 111 and view the image of "Billy". There happens to be an image of "Billy" on Page 81 that is NOT the image you are looking for. If is totally different from the one on Page 111 and go in there by accident (my pathetic editing)!

Also do NOT tear out the pages that the images are on to sign for the drawings as we will have tickets to fill out in your packets.

Robin just informed me that we have 54 entries today.

I forgot to add that the Australian Team will be here for the Last Dance. I am sure that the adult beverages will be flowing all weekend!
