As the northernmost part of the Louisiana Purchase, the
Dakota Territory formally comprised itself in 1861 of
both Dakotas and most of Montana and Wyoming. The four State’s
Silhouette Championships have been organized into the Dakota
Territory Silhouette Championship taking place annually in Aug-Sept.
and provides the opportunity to crown an overall quad-state smallbore
and high-power Silhouette Champion.

Based on the cumulative scores and attendance, Landis Machine has
agreed to make appropriate trophies that will be presented for the
Dakota Territory Match Winners at the end of the final State
Championship Match. Steelchickens will also be contributing to the
prize pool. The schedule of the four State Championships
looks like this:
