Wow! That is an awesome paint job on the rifle. Too bad we don't see more people paint their rifles. That is a first rate job there.

Nice looking post gun.
Do you paint your electric drill Dave?

That is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!
It's created a case of gun envy.
Too cool: the look of a WWII fighter (P51 Mustang, I'm assuming)!
I bow to your ideas and the painter's execution, even down to the animal "kills" - just like the airplane's kills!
Hope to see it in person sometime!

No, but I did paint my welder and both of my roll-away tool boxes.

Now you need a 'propeller' to go in the barrel! Awesome rifle, well done!

Very nice rifle, great paint job. Is the Lilja a three groove? Who makes the hanger conversion for the trigger?
Jon.

Thanks to everyone, I'm really happy how it turned out. I'm not sure if it is a three groove or not, I just know it is pretty darn accurate. As far as the trigger goes I couldn't find anyone who made a hanger or knew how to mount them so I mounted it myself. Here is what I posted before...
Emietenkorte wrote:Well I didn't get any answers so I guess I made my own. Had to modify the sear placement then cut and re-weld the safety lever to fit and operate properly but it works great! The forward trigger mounting hole lines up perfectly with the action bolt and I used the empty space in the forward section of the trigger housing to put the mounting bolt from the original trigger through. It really didn't seem that difficult to do, now to see if it makes any difference in my scores...
You can find a video of it in action here...

Looks like you are pretty handy in general and you must be pretty good with a Tig. I have an extra Anschutz trigger but I don't think it's the same one you used. Which model trigger did you use? I thought about putting mine in my Quad.
Thanks,
Jon.

I used the 5109 trigger out of the 1712. They are $250 from Champions Choice.

Nice job on the rifle and trigger conversion!!! I installed a CG Universal 2-stage trigger on my Finnfire and with the judicious use of 2 tiny drops of super glue in a couple of screw threads to keep sear engagement and over-travel screws set, the rifle shoots better than most standard weight rifles with just about any type of ammo.
