I just bought a used .260 Remington, and need load data. 26" one in eight twist Shillen barrel. I don't want to re-invent the wheel here. What have others had success with? I have on hand 130 pieces of Remington brass, Fed-210 primers, 140gr Berger Match bullets, eight pound jugs of RL-15, H-4895, Benchmark, and H-1000, and partial one pound containers of RL-19, RL-17, H-4831sc, and Varget. What loads are you guys having success using in the .260 Remington? Preferably using some combination of the components listed above that I already have on hand.

My Tikka liked 41 grains of RL-17 with a 140 Sierra and 43 grains with a 120 Sierra.

42.5 gr of 4831. It isn't as temp sensitive as the RL powders.

You don't list this powder but 42 gr H4350 shoots 140 SMK lights out at 2750 fps.

Same here, you don't list Win 748 but it sure works for me. Savage model 11 with McGowen 26" skinny barrel. Lapua brass, Fed 210 primed, 39 grains of Win 748 ball with the 140 VLD Berger 2.925" long makes 1/2" group at 100 Meters. 2766 low and 2783 high out of 10 shots. It's a 9 lb gun so it is a little hot but it slams rams! The primers are heading toward flat but there is still a little room around the edges.
This is the same powder charge I use for the CPT's but the pill is a 107 sierra, gets me 5/8" at 100 Meters.

My load with both 120 and 142's was 41.5 grains of H414. Loaded on a Dillon press and only changed seating depth. It worked for me. Shot into master class in hp hunter class with this load. In hunting rifle I used 4350 or 4831 with good success. Need to see what works in your rifle.
