Is the bag waterproof?

if not, make sure you keep it dry. spoiled rice stinks. You could also use tumbler media if you so feel like it.

Good point Mark. The bag is suede leather so it can quite wet.
DAMN that expensive lead shot. I was hoping to get away from expensive lead or tumbler media.

Maybe I can use some washed sand?

I only know this because I was going to use it, but

1. it was not heavy enough
2. someone told me about using organic material in the bags... you could, but only to replace it when it started to smell funky.

Try sand, but I think playground sand from HD is only like $5 I think for a huge bag.

How many $50 bags of shot would it take to fill your bag? Remember the stuff is real heavy too.

I have the complete set of Chris' bags. They are all filled with rice and my favorite is the 'fat bag with cleavage'.

I pretty much ignored everyone's suggestions and use small white beans for filler material.

It looks like it will work quite well. I will test it out tomorrow.


I tried playground sand but I could not get it to stop leaking past the zipper.
