Why are some members here afraid to list their general location in their profile?
Do they have something to hide?

Just overlooked on my part, plus I think I've moved maybe twice since joining, but not out of the general area. I read a lot but don't post much, but when I post I normally sign my post---other forums I use ask to use real names and I do---so nothing to hide on my part.

I use a general area because when I talk to venders on the phone it usually goes something like this.

" I am in Brookfield Wisconsin, it is near Milwaukee" then it goes quiet on the other end...
" North of Chicago" I say.
"Oh, Chicago, Da Bears" is the reply.

I'm going to change it to Northern United States of America

I thought the rule was people from Arkansas never say anything bad about Mississippi because if it were not for the existence of Mississippi, Arkansas would be dead last in every category.

Never do today what can be put off until....... somebody on Steel Chickens posts about it.

We here in Arkansas are in fact thankful for Mississippi, mainly for the reason you cited. I didn't mean to imply anything bad about Mississippi. There are many places in Arkansas that make rural Mississippi look downright metropolitan.

Y’all have left Louzianna completely out of your comments concerning being dead last. For many years now I always eagerly anticipate the release of the previous years standings of which state has the most unhealthy eating habits.
Let it be known that when MY State of Louzianna, gets beat out by either of the Lovely States of Arkansas OR Mississippi, I become inconsolable AND just downright PISSED

I was not going to mention that Mississippi is first per capita in two categories: diabetes and the morbidly obese.
And, the food is really not that great here compared to the meals we have eaten in Louisiana and Arkansas.

Speaking only for myself I am afraid Jerry or Old Ranger will show up on my doorstep!
