Tennessee Sports Foundation "King Of Tennessee" Match#1

This is a MIXED match format SB Rifle and SB Cowboy Lever action. Winner (King or Queen) is best Overall shooter.
One match of each Saturday and Sunday for a total combined score from Four matches.

Yes it is different.

It's cheap. $20. bucks (under 18 free with competing adult)
Third weekend of MAY. (October match is the same format entry forms available in May)

Come on Down. See what we are building in West Tennessee.

Camping is all "rustic" . No RV hookups so please be self contained.
Tents are fine.
Ask before any fires (just in case it's too dry).

Indoor Bathrooms in the Classroom area. with A/C

Classroom area will be open for A/C , meetings, eating, ect. during Range open hours.

Start time is as close to 9:00 am as possible. The "KING" Relays will be first each day. What ever time left we will shoot round robin regular Approved monthly style.
So we will still shoot all day.

This weekend, May 18-19 is the First King of Tennessee Silhouette Match!

This the FIRST event of this kind at TSF. Or anywhere in Tennessee that I know of. A combined match with the aggregate score in two completely different disciplines Earns the Crown.

The Quick Version
The first match weekend will be small and manageable. So we can get an idea of how to run a larger event.
Anyone who wants to help out. We would like the help, there is plenty to do. But still plenty of time to shoot.

FRIDAY
Range Set up 9:30am Range opens 12noon
Tech/ Registration 12noon.

SATURDAY / SUNDAY 9:00 am - 4pm
King of Tennessee Match Rounds in the Morning
LUNCH
Regular NRA monthly Match Rounds

Range STAYS set up Saturday evening SMALL BORE ONLY on those targets. Thank you.

Now the Details

Range Set up and Prep 9:30 am FRIDAY

Small bore Silhouette range open for practice approx. 12Noon.

Sign in Friday after 12Noon.

Tech inspection After 12noon Friday In Club House.

Classes are RIFLE and COWBOY/ LEVER (so Hunter Rifle fits into the Rifle category.)
Keep it SIMPLE.

12Noon Friday- 6:00pm (Approx) OPEN RANGE
This will be Silhouette OPEN PRACTICE. Any Small bore Rifle.

Curious Shooters Welcome! Join us and try for free.

Any NON NRA type Fun Matches this is the time.

Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th

-“King” Match Rounds begin as close to 9AM as Possible.
Relay Assignments are already set for those who are PAID. Try to get your assignments on Friday if possible to keep things speedy.

Each Shooter gets 1 Match Rifle and 1 Match Cowboy Each Morning
These first TWO morning Scores are the KING of Tennessee Scores.
All KING scores are done First.

Then we run the typical roundabout Silhouette matches like a regular Monthly Match.
Both Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday LUNCH time Approx. King of TN awards.

Range will be open until 4pm.

Wait.... holy moley that's a lot of possible shooting! YUP!
Anyone who wants to get their Scores in and possible UP-class? This is THE weekend!

FOOD: I'm thinking some Chili on Saturday (lunch). And maybe Spaghetti on Sunday.

*****Don't worry I will not let my Wife cook the Chill...... we all want to survive until Monday!!!!
( any South of the Border Folks who request the infamous “Extra Death Sauce” I can bring some. )

Remember NEW Silhouette Shooters are welcome! I am even going to shoot Cowboy, I have never done it, and I'm Unclassified in this event. So everyone can participate.

For now. Just SB Cowboy.
As things develop there is no reason not to add the other events. However I would like some one else to head up those matches as I am getting worn thin.
The plan is for things to grow a bit each year.

It was a fun weekend. ( I will admit, a PIA for me to get it all set in motion and running) But once we were shooting..... tons of FUN!

Ask some of the folks that shot it how they like Tennessee Sports Foundation and our Silhouette Range. I will let them do the advertising for me for a while.

Hope some more folks can make the drive for October 19th and 20th for the KING format once again.
