Please join us for the third annual Shamrock Silhouette Shootout Air Rifle Silhouette Championship in Baton Rouge, LA. The program and entry form is attached.

In addition to Air Rifle Silhouette, this match also features both a Field Target Silhouette match and an Air Pistol Silhouette match. Please spread this around to your field target and pistol shooting friends.

Also, if you don't have three airguns, or just want to shoot one or two, bring your rifle(s) and shoot! You can shoot a registered Open, Target or Sporter match in the Target and/or Sporter matches. Your score will not count in the match results but you can still set a national record and go for long-run records plus your score can count toward the Chicken, Pig, Turkey and Ram championships (see the program). So you can bring one rifle and shoot all weekend!

We've had a few questions about folks that want to shoot just one air rifle at the Shamrock Shootout - here is how that works.

This tournament consists of three 60-shot matches: the Tarfet Air Rifle match is Saturday morning, the OpenAir Rifle match is Saturday afternoon and the Sporter Air Rifle match is Sunday morning.

Let's say a shooter brings one air rifle that qualifies for the Open Air Rifle match only. He or she is allowed to shoot that rifle during the Target match, the Open match and the Sporter match if desired.

The score will not count in the results of the Target or Sporter matches. However, the shooter will get to shoot in three individual registered matches. So, any grand slams, long runs, or national records for Open Air Rifle shot during any of the three matches will count.

Also, that shooter can enter the chicken, pig, turkey, and/or ram championships on Saturday and the scores shot in both Saturday matches will count toward those championships.

So, even if you have just one or two air rifles, or if you have all three but just want to shoot one, come out and join in! Everyone is welcome. It will be lots of fun.
