"Olympic" Style Sights

Rule 3.1.3 paragraph 1 states:
Rear sights may be open sights, receiver or tang sights manufactured for the rifle they are mounted on. No
Olympic type sights or extended mounts are permitted. Front sights must be a post or bead, may be
hooded or if interchangeable may use post inserts only.
Yet a majority of the rifles (including mine) I've seen at matches have this style rear sight. Is this a rule that is mostly ignored? If I bring my 39A with my Redfield sight, will I be disqualified?
