Hope everyone is wintering well! I've had the idea for quite a while to make 11mm dovetail bases for highpower rifles. I made some 5 years ago or so for my Remington 700 308 deer rifle and they've worked very well. Recently came up with a way to added locking notches and a locking pin to the ring to fix the ring position positively on the dovetail. The locking notches are spaced 3/8" apart and allow for several mounting positions. I just finished a small production run of these for bases for Remington 700 actions to see if there's any interest. Below is a photo of some on one of my 700's. I have them in two lengths. The ones shown below cantilever forward some to allow a little more forward scope positioning. Also I'm making them in standard length. Also, for the first run I made them with 0 and 10moa and plan to make some with 20moa. Note- the angled ones are only for the 700 Short action. Also, I plan to offer them with either 6-48 or 8-40 screws. If anyone is interested in a setup email me at pete(at)d3precision(dot)com.

I received a set of these rings and bases from Pete and just put them on my rifle. A preliminary review...
I had been thinking about finding a two-piece base set that had some MOA built in for my R700 silhouette rifle, so it was serendipitous when Pete contacted me to ask if I wanted the check out this new product he was working on.
These things are sweet!
The fit and finish are top notch as always. The pins are perfectly aligned so as you tighten the side clamping screws they are wedged in tight along with the dovetail. Absolutely no slop and no chance these things are going to move.
A quick measurement on the scale says I saved a good 2 ounces from the full 20MOA rail and lightweight Leupold Rifleman aluminum rings.
Once I get a little more info from Pete (torque specs, etc) I'll be putting these bases and rings on with my Weaver T-24 for actual use. I'll be sure to post up any updates once I've had to use them at the range.
Well done Pete and D3 Precision!
