After 2 fine weather days of shooting Cathy Severen earned the Ironman trophy again. The Hellgate Civilian Shooters hosted the silhouette match on the Deep Creek Range near Missoula, MT June 7 & 8.Her 4 gun tally was 263/320. Erick Mietenkorte was 2nd at 262 and 3rd at 257 was Justin March. Mike Cassidy and crew did another fine job of hosting the event.

Congratulations Cathy! The fact that Erich was just one point behind means it must have been a nail-biter finish!

Honestly, the course of fire for that match just scares the bejesus out of me. Maybe someday I'll muster up the courage to go up there for that marathon of a match.

No courage necessary, just show up and shoot. Bring lots of bullets! Great match run by great people at a great range. Its like shooting in Yosemite Valley in the springtime!

Way to go Cathy. You still got it. It's been a long time since you just started. I remember meeting you in Lewiston for Montana State shoot many years ago. You were such a nice person and you haven't changed a bit. Keep up the good work. One of your fans Tom in Lander.
