Rear Sight Adjustments

We finally had some nice days here in the NE and I was able to take my new Marlin in 357 caliber out to the range to do some sighting in.
I'm using a Lyman 66 receiver sight and would like some advice on how fellow shooters that use this type of sight keep track of the elevation changes required for the distances out to 200 yards.
It's not like shooting in the SB sport where you have the scope clicks and dials to rely on.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, PPKNY

I use a silver sharpie and make a dot on each elevation change. It make it easy to quickly set the sight when moving between targets.
