For the shooters that wish to know the numbers in their respective classes for the 2008 Southern Nationals, I pulled the numbers this afternoon of all the competitors that are registered as of this afternoon.

Standard Rifle: Master - 26, AAA - 74, AA - 67 - A - 35, B - 16, and Unclassified - 5.

Hunter Rifle: Master - 32, AAA - 70, AA - 59, A - 35, B - 18, and Unclassified - 10.

All the Unclassified shooters WILL haver to have a current NRA Score Book and a Classification or they will have to compete in Master Class per the NRA rules.

This is a registered match with the NRA and all records can be shot for at this match. If we have enough interest, we may entertain a true 3-person Team match per class. We do not normally do this, but can for the sake of records if ya'll wish. We do not have the program set up for this and it may take a little longer than usual to get this done. Please let us know ASAP via email to me at [email protected] so that we will be prepared for this. We will not charge any extra, but will NOT have any team awards since we are so close to the match to get awards done.

We can also sell out-of area memberships to Winnsboro Gun Club for $10 if shooters from other states wish to compete on a team from Winnsboro Gun Club. All members form a team must be from the same organization.

Ducky,
They can also be members of Whittington Center Gun club to combine for a team.

Mary,

We would rather have them as a WGC member to rub the shit in a little more! I will pay the fees out of my pocket for ones that do not wish to fund such a worthwhile endeavor!

Wow! 223 shooters of the 'real thing'! Or, as they like to call it up here, the "1/5th game" D...that is awesome, a record in the making? Wish I lived closer and could hop on down and get my butt kicked by the best shooters in the sport. Hummm, E, can can I use your gun again?

durant7, we are now up to 227! Also I want to clarify that Winnsboro Gun Club will have a regular approved silhouette match on June 1 if anyone wishes to come in advance and shoot on the range. Limey will be in town in time for the match. If you want to come on down, I will loan you my rifle and ammunition as I don't shoot the match. I am too busy making sure everyone is having a good time and seeing if they need anyting

We have also been shooting all the Air Rifle classes after the regular Approved Winnsboro Gun Club monthly matches this year and in 2007. Bruce Finley has been arriving early and setting up the Air Rifle Range for the Matches so that we could start Air Rifle immediately after Smallbore. So if you come and shoot the Sunday June 1 approved warmup Match, don't forget your airgun.

See you there.

Ducky,
How many banks of Air rifle animals am I working with for stat purposes?
Robin has forwarded me the current list of competitiors.
I'll try to get some of the stat stuff set up ahead of time.

Jud,
you should come to this one man it's worth the trip. I'm sure we can find you a rifle to borrow, especially if you split your winings. :D

Inno,

The exact same format as last year. Ask Motl as he is in charge of the air rifle. Robin and I do have some real nice prizes allocated to the air rifle match!
