any thoughts? i have a friend thats gettin into sb silhouette and hes lookin for a rifle, he's usin my savage now.

they have a heavy barreled model, and after holding one in my hands at a gunstore a week ago the only thing i dont prefer is that the action is dovetailed for scope mounts....
is there any reason why more people dont look towards the t-bolt?

Kitty always told me that when nobody else uses something, there's a reason, and when everyone uses something, there's a reason for that, too. This gets too expensive for very much experimentation so we all watch experiments closely and try to learn from each other.

In this case, the T-Bolt has had time to develop a reputation for accuracy, but hasn't, so I'd avoid it. Tell your friend to look at CZ or Anschutz.
