We had our monthy HP match at Ben Avery on Sunday, it was cold here (well cold for us), Mr. Dave Arnberger (A shooter) shot 9 Turkeys!

Well Mary, It was 50 here before I left for the range, and the range is more open, so I would guess maybe mid 40. Mike Slagel was in shorts as per norm, but every one else was sporting a jacket and some in gloves.

The only thing for me that could be worse than cold is to be wet and cold, especially cold feet!

Joaquin, I'm glad it was you up in the frozen tundra instead of me. About the only tundra that I want to deal with comes from Toyota! I haven't seen you at the last two HP shoots at TRC!

Hi, Jim,

I've been traveling on business, having to catch a plane on match Sundays, around noon. This leaves me no time to attend matches. I will miss the next one also.

We started yesterday's smallbore match at 40 deg. F. and all scores, on average, were a little higher than normal, even with a bit of breeze. I guess the extra layers of clothing make for a steadier hold. Too bad it would be suicidal to try this during the summer months.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

JB

Yesterday AM when I left the house to go to Rio Salado, it was like 39, about 8:00AM, when all the targets were set there was 3 of us there, Rose Jr (just came to set animals), Bill Cole and myself. At 9:00ish the match was cancelled, got a few shots in put the steel away and was off, it turned out to be a pretty nice day though!

I don't blame you for calling off the match. 2 shooters and cold. By the time we started the 2nd SB match at TRC last Sunday it was real nice. Did JB mention he turned in his best sb score?
