Can't seem to find my copy of the rules. Is the allowable Hunter scope height 1.5 from the reciever top to the bottom of the scope just like smallbore?

As far as I know the hunter class rules are the same except in the weight area 9 lbs for highpower and 8 1/2 for smallbore the scope hight is the same for hunter and standard correct me if I'm wrong folks but I think memory serves me right.

Here is what the rule book states, this applies to Smallbore or High Power

Standard Rifle
b) Any sights, telescopic or metallic may be used. Scopes may not be more than 2 inches above the rifle as measured from the top of the receiver to the underside of the scope tube, nor may the scope be offset from the top center line of the receiver. Any sighting device programmed to activate the firing mechanisms is prohibited.

Hunting Rifle
(b) Any sights, telescopic or metallic, may be used. Scopes may not be more than 1.5 inches above the rifle, as measured from top of receiver to underside of scope tube, nor may the scope be offset from the centerline of the bore. Exception: for rifles that eject the empty cartridge case straight up and that normally use an offset scope, the scope may be offset. Any sighting device programmed to activate the firing mechanism is prohibited.

Two inches (thats what she said ) from the top of the reciever to the bottom of the scope. looks like Paul and I posted at the same time.

Thanks for the information. The low mount goes back on the gun.
