Tang Sight on Smallbore Cowboy

How do you deal with the fact that there are no indexing marks for different ranges on a .22 RF rifle with tang sight? Kentucky windage, count clicks or ??

FWIW, I think I've figgered out a solution that won't cost an arm & a leg. I'll replace the open sight blank with a folding rear & use it for chickens & pigs, and use the tang sight for turkeys & rams. Probably not nearly as good as replacing the existing tang sight with an improved one with interchangable posts, but fer sure a lot cheaper!

Anybody got a better idea?

Most folks that I've seen use one of the elevation adjustable tang sights and just mark them somehow. I use a tiny dot of white appliance paint on the base and tiny dot on the knob for my receiver sights, and I think I remember the tang sight boys doing pretty much the same. Then I just go up a certain number of clicks for each animal past chickens. Having both a tang sight and a folding rear sight seems to be a whole lot of work and expense.

On the Marble's tang sight one click is about 1/3 inch at 100 yards. I start all the way down. Two complete turns up is chickens.
Then count clicks going from there.

The other way is to set for the middle of a turkey and shoot at thewho do taht and it works out well. base of chickens and the back line of rams. There are folks who do that and it turns out well.
