Hey Everyone,

Can someone please explain the advantage to having your scope up so high? I've never seen any rifle sport where the scopes are as high, usually people want scopes as low as possible.

Thanks,
Tancred

Maintaining a erect head position on the stock aids with balance...but the high mounts only work well if you have a high comb on the stock..if you have a straight stock you will need to use the standard rings since not having a good stock weld is bad as is not comming back to the same spot also. The key is to use the ring hight that will give you as erect a head position as possible without taking you off the comb of the stock.
