OK,

short of slugging the bore on a 32-20, how do I know the diameter. We are talking about a Marlin 1894 cl, pretty high serial number, 1000XXX I think.

So do I use .308 bullets and load data, or perhaps the .312 bullets? Jacketed only atthis time.

Hate to be this way, but when in doubt, slug the bore. Not a big deal, so easy a cave man can do it!

When I had a 32/20 and shot copper(for a very short period) I used .312diameter 100grain projectiles. If you ever intend to start shooting lead then use around a 313/314 sized projectile.

I think I would just call Marlin and ask.

I only use speers 100gr bullets #3981 for my 32-20.

My marlin 32-20 measures .3135" & use .314" lead But .313" will still shoot ok.
