Here is a few, well a bunch of photos from this past weekend in Phoenix. OK...I did the hard part, now some of you AZ shooters add some comments about the match. I have no details to share. I got dragged out of there to head home at 4pm before the awards ceremony. Thirteen hours later we hit Denver then I had to go to work.

Early bed for me tonite.

I forgot to add something. The 850 mile trip home was un eventful until 4 am this morning. We were just north of Trinidad, Co. on interstate 25. No cars on the road at all. We approached a tractor-trailer truck doing 75 mph. Jim was driving and sped up a little to pass the truck. We were about 50 yards ahead of the truck when I saw what I thought was a deer approaching the hiway from the right. I told Jim to beware of it as it was stepping into the roadway heading across our path. We were suprised to see that it was a mountain lion instead of a deer. It paused in the middle of the right lane as we sped by at 80 mph! Unfortunately, the semi slammed into it at 75 mph. This all happened too quick for either of the drivers to react . The truck swerved a little but the cats 9 lives were long over. Too bad. What were the odds of crossing paths with a big cat on a hiway in the middle of no where? There are a lot of deer sleeping better tonite in game unit 134.

Thanks for the pics, oh great Bagwon. Joy Cox took both rifles. Don't remember much else. Bant said that he didn't care when you left, he had your money! Good seeing everyone. Mary, we will try harder on getting you better weather next time!

I don't think I'd want him as my spotter. Heck, I feel safer with KevinBear behind me!

Only been home 35 minutes JB...had to get some laundry started first. Spent the day playing with gunsmiths in EP adjusting some stuff on my rifle. Coming to EP next month JB? BTW the weather was pouring here at home...so maybe it wasn't too bad there!
Thanks for the great match guys and especially to the puppy chow supplier!

Mary, Do you know the difference between a Bagwon and a Guru? A Bagwon rings rams and a Guru doesn't!

JB,
I suspect we'll hear some new excuse about ammo here shortly, I mean the Guru couldn't ever be wrong.

Nope, no excuses. I lost two rams in the first set Sunday morning, #1 and #5. Both were well placed body hits. All weekend bay two rams got hammered with none lost. Tell me why all of a sudden two stand with decent heavy bullet hits. Later that day Ed lost #4 with his new .260 hunter gun.

McAlice, you need to get some sleep and come up with something better than that! I lost #4 Ram on Sat afternoon with 6.5 X 55...perfect hit in shoulder.
Must have been a dirty primer pocket, ummm well a good hit like that guess I'm going to have to come up with it wasn't 7-08.

I wasn't wearing a hat????
Bob Mc Alice,
Glad to see you guys at the match and thanks for the pictures. I figure out, too late, that I was subconciously moving the rifle just as I was firing. Unfortunately I have little experience in high power as it is and, I had changed my bullet weight, a new rifle, a new scope, and did not know what I wanted to blame. Near the end of the match I was missing from being rattled but, the shots were landing where I thought they would, confirming that the earlier problems had nothing to do with the equipment. I ended up with a 27/80 with the Standard and 32/80 with the Hunter. I will have one more match to redeem myself which is the President's Match on May 2nd, after that I don't have enough ammo or funds to shoot High Power.
You guys should come back down for the President's mMatch on May 2nd, it is a good one. It is a 40 shot Smallbore Match in the morning and a 40 shot High Power match in the afternoon.
* * * THANKS * * *
To the Hassaayampa members who donated their time to run the match!
