Today I bought a Marlin 1894cl in 25-20. The factory test sticker was still on the forestock. Who can relay a good load and location of dies and brass. I'll be shooting it in PC .

I use 10.7gr of IMR 4198 with Remington Brass, CCI primer and Remington 86gr JFP heads in a Marlin 94 takedown with 24" barrel. Started with Lyman's accuracy load (10.5gr) and worked well for me

I've discovered that my Marlin 25-20 is very much like a bride half my age. Easy to look at, fun to handle but really, really expensive to maintain!

Yeah, but it's worth it!

G'Day All
My 25/20 likes 11grns of 4198 under the RCBS 86grn cowboy bullet. This is flat enough for pistol cartridge and it's fun plunking full size Turkeys one after the other. Recently tried 10.5 of 4227 with the Lyman 65grn bullet on Wallaby but I think it would damage targets as it sure upset the furry woodland creatures!!!
