I am in the process of making travel plans to and from Raton for the Cowboy nationals. For those of you who have been there before; roughly what time of day does the match conclude on the last day? We are thinking of heading home right after the match if it not too late in the day. Al Foust

Plan on the match running until 5 or later. Shootoffs and awards are later. Some do leave earlier, depending on shooting performance. Several people have traveled to Amarillo the last day (about 4 hours).

I couldn't get a clear access/photo of the PCCLA board today, but here's pics of the results board from the CLA match on Monday:

G'Day All
What can I say???? It looks like the wheels have fallen off the Aussie bus. Mick!! I understand the spotter makes yyou or breaks you and I can only apolagise. Leroy obviously you were doing a better job spotting than that NADC your teamed up with. Toad what can I say paired up with a ranga can't be easy. Boy do I miss you blokes!!!!
The bride is home and surgeon is happy :-bd :-bd , will find out final results Tues. Looks like our dream run of Salted Beef and pudding will continue.

Juddy....Shame Shame Shame...a certain person lost control of his RS ball of shame badge, then lost control of the second one he was carrying!!! I'm sure a full report is due, but even more shameful is the fact that two others in the daily pool teamed up and took back some of the money!
The mates are putting on a good show and making daily attempts at long runs, today will be another chance to come back. As for the badges who knows where they will end up next???
Glad to hear surgery went well, will keep you both in my prayers.

Still Innocent Mary

(Hi, all -- first time poster, "Score-keeper Ward" here ... mainly just checking that my new account, over here, seems to work as expected.)

As for Mr. Mick's spotting efforts ... well, this is just my lowly and thoroughly-uneducated-in-this-game opinion, of course, but it looked to me like certain Aussie shooters -- no names out of me! They know who they are! -- were quite neatly hitting every single thing that their spotter told them to hit, this morning ... even if that amounted to only knocking down even-numbered targets, during odd-numbered relays; and vice-versa. Certain old habits not only die hard, but they're easily spread, methinks? Anyway, when the vaguely suspicious pattern was pointed out, I don't recall hearing any wild denials out of anyone ... but I did notice a few sly smiles, here or there, at the general accusation. Of course, those blokes learned long ago to disregard anything that I have to say ... and good on 'em for it! (Let's hope that applies to my morning's unwise comments regarding chilled fluid's consumption? Even though the match is over, it still worries me a bit that I think I caught Mick putting his score-keeper settings into his sights, towards the end the day!?)

But seriously: glad to hear that the medical situation that kept you home, seems to be going as well as expected. Thanks for easing a stranger's mind on that! (I had heard about it, earlier in the day, through idle gossip at the range: and had hoped all would be well; which I now see is the case.)

Daisy...It should be costly, he then had the testicles to snatch my recently acquired Ramslammer hat for a photo op " in the name of Ramslammers". I might add the Tim F from Az out bid others for the one badge, should have sent more they would have done well....There has been no official report from the brotherhood members as one unnamed team member has had the computer in use every evening.

Sorry, I couldn't get pics of the SBCLA results prior to them removing them from the crowded bulletin board today. I'll be here at Whittington Center for the next couple days shooting the New Mexico state match and hopefully I can find Greg Conner and get him to let me take pics of the SBCLA results to post.

Later,

-Tim :ymcowboy:

PS - Finally got to meet Innocent today, along with a few moments with some of the Aussie crowd this afternoon while the Ex Pom was running after the Pigs. Gotta remember to bring my hip boots before getting into too deep of discussions with these guys though! =))
