Walther Firing Pin Spring

I would like to replace the firing pin spring on the Walther that I shoot. I bought it used and really have now idea how many shots have been through it. The fellow I bought it from was a high level (Olympics, etc) running boar competitor so I know it has been shot lots as well as dry fired a lot. I am thinking that the spring is maybe a bit "tired".

You are right Jim. Wolff makes springs for everything gun. The prices are reasonable too.
I believe that a week spring will give you bad ignition and ruin your groups. We did have to replace a spring in a 1712 at the Missoula match. The gun was not firing about 1 in 15 shots. The guy thought it was the ammo. After we changed the spring, all was well.
I know this subject has come up here before and there were a few that believed the spring would last forever. As cheep as they are, why mess with it?

Got the package in the mail today with two new Walther springs as well as two new Rem 700 springs. The new spring in the Walther makes a better/deeper strike on the case.

Hi Brett,
They worked like a charm. Takes just seconds to pull the bolt apart with the right tools. I polished up the pin as well as inside the bolt. Smooth as butter.
If Bob is there tomorrow, I will give them to him unless of course you will be there tomorrow.
