Anyone try Berry's Preferred Plated Bullets from Cabela's in 357 / 125 gr FP for the PC game.

Pete,I tried them in the 30-30 and they did not group very well at all.The ranier bullets have worked well for us.And they are also cheap but shoot well.Mike Haynes

Mike, Thanks, I should have asked you before what you used when I saw you at the match. I'm geting ready to spend the off season reloading evrything.

I tried both the 125gr and 158gr versions of the Berrys in my 357 Marlin 1894.... While they had OK accuracy (2-3" at 100meters). I had numerous "fliers", about 1 out of 5 with the 125gr, 1 or 2 out of 10 with the 158gr versions, regardless of powder/load.

BTW, if you speak with Berry's "tech support" they specifically state that these are for use in a pistol ONLY and should NEVER be used in any rifle (with strong emphasis on "pistol ONLY" and "NEVER"). They never did give a technical explanation as to why not (other than making sure I kept them below 1200fps in a pistol).
