Just bought a marlin 35 remington 336 xlr. Want to shoot sil rifle with it but don't like the shape of the hood. The front sight is to big and the barrel does not have a dove tail for a typical sight. Just wondering what front sight you other guys are putting in your xlr's

I put a marbles fiber optic sight on my Marlin XLR.

I'm cheap so I just removed the hood, took a file and shaped the sight up a little and replaced the hood.
