Just thought I'd ask if anyone had any different loads for 6.5 x 55. I'm currently using Varget as follows:
107 Sierra MK HPBT & 39.0 Varget
142 Sierra MK HPBT & 41.0 Varget
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PPK, don’t know if this will help or not as I haven’t loaded many of the new bullets. I’ve been loading for the 6.5x55 since the late 70’s and I’ve found they are very easy to load for. I’ve had the Swedish Mausers, a 98 with a Krieger barrel and a Husky with a Schneider barrel, plus a Lawton with a Lilja in the works. The Kreiger and Schneider are both around one in eight twist—the Krieger may be a one in eight and a half.
All of them liked 160 Hornady Round Noses and slow powder---in the range of 4350. I’m sure that load won’t interest you much, but they also like 140 Sierra FB spitzers with similar powder. 140 and 150 Nosler ballistic tips have also been good as have 139 Hornady’s. My favorite powder is Rel 19……with charges of between 38 and 44 grains depending on bullet weight---I’m sorry I don’t have any hard data at my disposal right now---this is from memory---so treat it as such.
Most of the loads I’ve shot with the bullets mentioned shoot one moa or better. I didn’t ever think I was giving up much accuracy using 140 Sierra’s or 140 Nosler Ballistic tips and I would never pass up deals on hunting bullets as I found most shot as well as the match variety. But I’m still shooting up a bunch of the 155 Sierra match bullets and for what it’s worth (I don’t think they are available any longer) they shoot very well also.
For my preference, Varget is on the fast end of the powders that the 6.5x55 works well with. I’ve used it on lighter bullets and it works, but not near as good as some of the slower powders.
If you can get some WC 852 military powder, it works great although velocities are low---the loads are accurate and SD’s and ES’s are low, plus it was (is?) inexpensive.
I have shot some of the 107’s in the Krieger barrel but with 4350 and Rel 19. They shoot very good, but I haven’t ran them over a chronograph.
I’ve experimented with primers and they do make a difference if you fine tune and chronograph. But there has not been a consistent best primer.
I like Norma brass the best of what I’ve tried, but the last WW I bought and ran over a mic was very good brass.
Sorry I can’t help with the Varget and bullets you listed. I think if you try any powder from Varget through 4831, you are bound to get good results. The Swede is a great one.

Thanks for the info, I've got some data on the 140's & 142's from people useing 4350. I'll probably keep loading the 107's with Varget and pick up some 4350 the next time I go down to th Cabela's store.
Thanks, ppkny
