Hey there,
I was wondering what anyone else has found as a good working tension for the actions screws on a CZ 452? I have the silhouette model, and use 45lbs on the front and back screw. I get pretty good results on it. I am thinking of starting to play with that number now that I have a favorite ammo, and I was wondering what other people have found. It's just weird with the forward screw going into that post half way down the barrel.

I hope you are talking in terms of inch pounds. I would start shooting groups at different torque settings. Mine seem to like 20-24 inch pounds. Even though all have come from the factory tightened to about 50 inch pounds. I have even broken bits trying to loosen action screws set the factory. IMO 45" lbs might be a little binding. Try lower and let us all know what you end up with.

Rodger that from everyone, I will start at 20 in/lbs, and go up from there. Thanks all.

On my 452 sil I removed the forward barrel lug and scew, floated the barrel, pillared and bedded the action. In this condition I don't find anything over hand-tight on the single action screw makes a difference. Hand tight for me works out to about 25 in/lbs.
