I'm flying to ElPaso this weekend to shoot my first high power match. Been looking forward to it for a long while. Wanted to get qualified before the nationals. Wish me luck. I'm sure I will be hooked after my first shot. :D

Jason, some questions. What range did you shoot at ? Did you bring a rifle along or borrow one there ? Cartridge? How well did you do? What will you use at Nationals or will you put something together before then. Come on man, give us details.

BTW...they broke him in correctly, he has been busy making Mexican woks since he got back so that we can eat right, something about the food was lousy at the strip joint and much better on the wok.

What the heck is a mexican wok? Some kind of steel sombrero? And BTW the food at our strip joints is quite good from what I hear.

Yep, making mexican woks. Already had to make the family dinner in a large iron skillet to show them what all the fuss was about. They loved it. Just have to finish welding on a piece of steel around the edges of them. Just in case some one wanted to do some frying in them.

When I have some more time I will post some pics and chat.

Hammy, Here you go. This is my first attempt at a Mexican Wok. I don't know if it cooks really well or it was the beer. :D It's made out of a 22" disc that we use for plowing the dirt we have here in Tennessee. I was going to use an old one from the farm but decided to go all out and by some new ones. I will be making some smaller ones. This one is quite large. Next one is going to be 18" with a 1" lip on the edge so it can be used for frying and more liquids.

The man goes to El Paso to shoot HP and comes back having learned how to make use of his scrap metal....what else did the crazy mexicans teach you about the sport?
