Thought some of you DIY gunsmiths might like this new camo dipping kit that you can use on gun stocks, barrells, scopes, etc...

www.camodipkit.com

They have carbon fiber, woodgrain, snakeskin, and some other neat patterns too...

Apparently not, or at least not many of us.

I'm a great believer in DIY stuff, but a guy near me will dip my stocks for $100-125. I'm not getting anymore stuff piled up in my shop when I can get that done locally for a reasonable price. Now if you don't have such options... ...you may feel differently.

I had major problems with FedEx. The kit I bought contained a chemical they didn't like. So they sent it back to the manufacturer...I complained and the kit maker sent it to me through the mail.
I was all set to give my Boyds stock a "snakeskin" finish...When the snakeskin arrived it was a 2x3" pattern repeated over and over to cover the 24x36" material. Not something you'd want on a rifle.
At this point I gave up.
Great idea, but the materials were simply not cooperating with me.
