I am having a problem wrapping my head around this. What do you need for a refill tank and various attachments and hoses?

What you need depends on your gun. If you have a German 10-meter rifle, you need a DIN scuba tank and the adapter that came with your gun. The tank will cost you about $200. If you have Marauder or some other gun with a Foster fitting, then you need a hose from your tank with a female foster fitting - about another $70.
An air pump will cost more then a tank. My tank gets refilled about once a year for $5 a fill. I have 3 PCP guns and shoot a lot.
