I was thinking of getting a 550 for 7mm08. I have a rock chucked and all the standard real lading stuff. I also have a hornaday progressive that I have not used in ten years. I could never get it set up right. So on to the dillon. What stuff should I order? What is good accessories to have? Where should I buy it?

You can buy from dillion, from their website or over the phone. Call them and talk to them about where you are as a reloader and what you want to accomplish and they are very good about helping you put together what you need. You can also check here http://brianenos.com/ for ready to use combos. Prices are pretty much the same, dillion doesn't give dealers a very big break unless you move mega amounts of product. Word of advice, the cost of the machine is one thing and it's pretty attractive. What you can add to to it to make it a much more enjoyable and productive experience can get expensive.....but then, what is not expensive in this sport. Good luck.

Ter,
A 550 B is a solid choice. Everything you would need is there. I would suggest a few options to really make it enjoyable. A strong mount Stock#22051, a bullet tray Stock#22214, and especially the Empty Case Bin and Bracket(Stock#11185)-Attaches to the Strong Mount, elevates empty cases to the level of the shellplate for easier reach. That really makes it nice. Mark

Thanks Mark. I bought the stuff you recommended and a quick change kit and a 223 conversion. I imagine I can load the 45 acp on the 7mm08 setup. They were closed so I will see if that is true on Tuesday. I think they are raising prices on the 1st, so I snuck in the order at 2011 prices. Hopefully I can make it up to Ridgway this year. I only shot one round of high power with Butch's rifle. I got a 7mm08 Sako Finlight to try out. Ter
