It seems the .22 Mag. is quite popular in the west for PC Cowboy Silhouette. What rifle makes and models do most shooters use? Also what barrel lengths are they? Al Foust

For 22Mags, the most often used ones at the range around here are the typical Marlin and Winchesters just like with 22lr models in the smallbore lever match. We actually don't have all that many shooters that use 22 mags because they tend to ring rams now and then. I shoot a Marlin 57M in 22 Mag, but I pull the 50gr bullets out of the Federal Classic loads and replace the factory powder with 7.1 grains of H110. I haven't had a ram shrug one of those off yet.
