The CCI SV continues to lead up my barrel with accuracy loss after a brick or little less. It is amazing the amount of barrel lead accumulated using CCI SV. Today, I finally got around to testing the Aquila SE at 3 distances off sandbags, in my CZ 452 American, and now much happier with Aquila SE with tighter groups with consistency.
Groups all touching at 40, 60, and 77 meters, 5 shot groups. I did not measure with my 6 inch ruler. 100 meters, I have to go back out tomorrow as time ran out due to our County 4-H having access to our range all day. I had to open up our discipline range for them to shoot.

The Aquila SE seems to work well in my 452 so far. I only had to make 1/4" moa downward elevation adjustment using the SE which is 1135 fps from CCI SV settings @ 1080fps. Preliminary is, the same downward elevation adjustment will apply at 100 meters.

I did order 2 boxes Aquila Match Rifle, which should arrive next Wednesday. It appears I will be putting up a for sale sign in our club house for the CCI SV at a $20.00 brick price. It should sell. Just my comment for the day.

I can't say that I've heard of CCI-SV leading a barrel, but there's always a first. Does it lead up any of your other rifles?

I know some people have not had a positive experience with CCI-SV but I've put over 15,000 rounds of through a CZ452 and 5,000 rounds through a 1712 with no leading issues. I find the accuracy very acceptable for the cost.

I have only this one CZ452 and have gone through a case of CCI SV in the past year. I read on Rimfire Central a fellow or 2 having the same leading problem. It was to darn windy yesterday to go out and see how well the SE Std would do at 100 meters. It does better though, than the CCI SV. A fellow shooter left me a brick of the Aquila in our Silhouette range shed Saturday night and I picked it up yesterday afternoon. He gets his SE from CMP at $23.00/Brick or so in case lot + shipping. I will go in with him when he buys more. I am all set for this Thursday eve match with the SE Std.

I do not want to go through the time and trouble to dip the CCI in wax or other lubricant like some do with the CCI SV.

Hmmm...I've shot several bricks of CCI SV through my Kimber 82G and my CZ 452 American and I haven't noticed any leading problem. I do clean the bore fairly often though. I might be interested in taking some of your CCI stock off your hands. It might be wise for me to try a brick first. Would you be interested in trading a brick of my CMP Aguila SE for a brick of CCI SV? If I can come up for the next match I could bring a brick of the Aguila with me. Let me know.
