Planning attending my first silhouette match soon I have a CZ 452 American with a Leupold 6.5-20 scope I dont know anything about Silhouette match procedures,do I load and shoot from the mag?or can one shoot single shot? are the targets shot in stages or all at one time? etc.I guess procedure and course of fire is what I need to know,any help appreciated

But quickly in Hunter class you load via the magazine
You shoot in 2 segments each is 5 shots in 2.5 min for each bank of 10 animals (for 60 shot matches its 3 banks of 5 for each animal)
Pick up your rifle on the 'Ready' command, insert your magazine, etc.
And fire on the 'Fire' Command
At the 'Cease Fire' open your bolt and put your rifle in the holder

Let me expand a little on what Bob has said:
First - you follow the commands of the person give range/match commands: for safety and smooth flow of the match.

Each person in a typical 40 shot match will have 10 of each animal at 4 different distances - 10 chickens at 40 meters, 10 pigs at 60 meters, 10 turkeys at 77 meters and 10 rams at 100 meters.
Each set of 10 is shot in sub groups of 5 in the 2.5 minutes that Bob mentioned. Each set of 5 animals is shot IN ORDER, left to right: First shot at 1st animal, then hit or miss move to animal number 2 (second from left), etc.

Starting with each rifle "made safe" in racks "behind" the firing point. (Made safe means: empty, bolt or action open, magazine out, empty chamber indicator or open bolt indicator inserted in the rifle.) Typical range commands (and actions the shooter should take as a result) are as follows:
Shooters bring your equipment to the line - get your rifle & other equipment (loaded magazine(s)-5 rounds only, score card, extra ammo, etc) and bring it safely to the line and place it down (on table or stand per what's available at your range) and do not touch it again until told to do so.
Shooters for your top bank of 5 animals <pause 1 sec> READY - pick up rifle, load and make ready to fire (this includes things like verifying scope settings are correct for animal to be engaged, putting round in chamber, mounting rifle, getting breathing and nerves steady/prepared, etc)
<15 seconds after the ready command the range command wil be . . .>
FIRE - the shooter can begin firing (when the sight picture is acceptable of course)
<2 minutes 30 seconds later the range command will be . . .>
CEASE FIRE - if not already completed the shooting sequence the shooter should immediately lower his/her rifle, remove any unfired round and magazine and ground the rifle per the specific range at which you are competing. Some additional commands at this time could be

Score your animals (or other commands)

after approximately 30 seconds between sub-sets of 5 animals the commands similar to above will be repeated, except it will be for the other (say Bottom bank of 5 animals)
After the 2nd bank of 5 animals is completed (that is to say "shot at" good grammar, right) there will be commands about scoring and other administrative items, but the important part for you (and everyone else) are the commands about making the firing line safe that gets the line in the state I started with (see above). After the line is confirmed SAFE the command may/could be:
The line is SAFE, go forward and reset and repaint the animals.

Hope that helps. It seems like a lot, but just do what you are told and you'll be fine - no need to be nervous. Everybody is very willing to help out the new shooter!

Only change I have to SS's list is the animal bank fired at depends on the range. Some ranges shoot Top bank first and some shoot Bottom bank first. And then there are some with all ten at the same level, then you start on the left most and follow to the right.

In addition a simple thing to do if you do shoot out of sequence by accident (commonly referred to as crossfriring on yourself), simply continue left to right until you run out of animals, then go to the left most one on your bank standing, until you have fired all 5 shots for the bank.
Get out, relax, shoot and you'll have fun. Just be safe, and all the rest will fall into place. Good luck and don't be discouraged at how much those little critters run around!!!
