Last week I had a day with a light work load and the boss was out all week on vacation. You know what this means? Time for a me project... G-job as it is known in the trade..ha ha. Twenty years ago I made a half dozen aluminum copies of the Remington 700 bolt shroud on manual machines. Four of them are still on my guns today. I had the drawing in my tool box and decided I needed (wanted) to have one made of solid stainless steel. I scrounged up a short rod of 1.25 dia. 303 and some aluminum for a sample part to prove out tools and steps before I started cutting the SS. I did not take pictures of the lathe work but did so on the mill. The black mark on the flange is the timing location for slot and flats. This is an easy project for you guys getting started with home hobby machines. As usual I loaded the pictures backwards in photobucket.

Yep, I bet he knocked her up. He probably had to take the midnight flight to Moscow then a 10 hour train ride to meet his new in laws . Can you say........ СХОТГУН ЖЕДДИНГ (shotgun wedding)....or in his case an AK-47.

Bob Mc Alice , Beckley text a weird detailed message to me today. The text said he was shooting his gun and having some fun. I texted back asking about the caliber he was shooting. His answer was his 2 inch man gun. Whoa! That was too much information for me!!!!!. I did not text a reply to that one. So maybe he has some new sight settings after playing doctor with Helga?

Dave, I heard JB was working on some "reduced loads" recently out of that 2" Magnum you mentioned. If you ask me I think he probably has too small of a "brake" on the end of his barrel.

I wonder if he uses a stainless steel or bronze brush to clean that thing?

McAlice, I saw the neighbor the other day, she has some sort of a compact car and I didn't see awhole lot of room in the front seat. I believe in using the right tool for the job, so I don't use a bore brush, I use a wire brush.
