Great article, Steve. I do have to say that I was shocked that you did that throat work by hand, even if the reasoning was sound. It goes completely against my "ultimate precision at any cost" image of your work.

I know, it was a new adventure for me as well.

Eh, if I had messed it up, I would have just ended up in the lathe anyhow to fix. I have plans to finish a new Bartline GT barrel for my 2013, so that will put me on the lathe for a night later next week.

I'll get some photos for you of that operation so you can sleep better.
