I recently purchased an Anschutz 1808 MSR. I came with a bloop tube that was cut down to about 4 inches. Are bloop tubes legal for NRA silhouette shooting. Also,is one allowed to used a shooting hat with the side blinders? I don't want to show up to my first shoot and find out that I have a rifle or some other piece of equipment that does not conform to the NRA standard rifle silhouette rules. Sorry for all the newbie questions. I just want all my ducks in a row before my first shoot.

Other than a shotgun style vest you aren't allowed any shooting clothing. I assume that goes for hats too. I know you can't wear shooting boots, pants gloves etc.
I'm pretty sure the bloop tube is ok since it is technically part of a sighting system, but I'll leave it to the experts.
Here is the full set of 2012 rules. I don't know if there is a 2013 anywhere, but I'm not aware of any changes.

Hats with blinders are ok. Bloop tube is ok as long as it does not make the barrel more than 30 inches long.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the information. One more question and it may seem foolish but why are some of the folders on the forum red and some black?
