Does anyone shoot or reload using Nosler's Accubond bullets in 7mm-08. Thank you for any assistance.

Thank you for the quick reply. I just started shooting HP silhouette and I wanted the members' input about the accubond bullets. My friend picked me up a few boxes of the 160gr knowing that I just started rifle competition. He says that I am converting from the dark side. ( pistol shooting ) How are they on the rams? Any specific powders to use? Should I shoot the Nosler partitions or the E-Tips? I know that many people use Sierra's Match King bullets. However, like most people I am using whatever I can my hands on. Thank you.

I've used Nosler Accubond 160s on rams. That's about the best 7mm ram bullet out there. I think I loaded my 7mm IHMSA with about 32 grains of Varget but I'd have to double check on that.

I cringe every time I fire a Nosler. They are good but pricey. But like you said you have to shoot whatever you can get these days.

Last night my friend informed me that he found some Sierra 130gr BTHP Match Kings. Are they too light for the Chickens and pigs? Thank you.

No, those are plenty heavy. You can shoot chickens, pigs and turkeys with almost any weight bullet. My dad shoots C,P,T with 110 gr 7mm bullets. I use 107, 108 and 123grain 6.5 bullets for CPT.

I use 120 ballistic tips in 7-08 through turkeys without incident....ditto with the 130 Sierras but the Nosler 120s shoot a little tighter out to 300 and I got a bunch so

The 130 Matchking is probably the single most common bullet used for any of the 7mm cartridges in silhouette. It's kind of the "standard".

I have shot the 130mk out to turkeys ...they work very well but also shot the 120 hornady hp in my 7mm.

Thank you members for your input. However, my friend informed me that the Sierra 130gr are gone. He was able to pick me up some ( 2 lbs ) of IMR 4064 powder. He said get "what you can". I can try it, sell it or barter with it. Again thank you.

4064 is a great powder for the 7-08.

Great news! My friend picked me up 3 lbs of 4046 powder. He told me to check out Sierra's website to purchase bullets. Do any members buy directly from Sierra, buy from large online distributors or local shops? How long are the wait times for backordered items? Thank you.

Whale a far as weight goes I started out shooting a .243 cuz its what I had. The 100gr. would ding rams "if" I could hit them. everything else dropped with no problems but I've seen 168gr 7mm also ding rams soooo......! My point is shoot what ya can and enjoy this sport with whatever you can get your hands on these days.
