I wanted to purchase some Winchester WST powder for the 1911, and do some Bullseye shooting. However, the seller wanted to combine the WST and Winchester 760 powder. Does anyone use Winchester 760 powder? I would be using it in a 7mm-08. Thanks.

You can do a lot better than the Winchester ball powders. Ignition problems, temperature problems, group problems that you do not need in this game. Stick with something like Varget or Imr 4064 or Vit N140 n150.

If it's for your 1911 why not just use Bullseye? I use it in all my 1911's and .32 SWC loads.

Bob259,
I do have Bullseye on hand. I also have Unique and Accurate 5. However, I had slight increase of accuracy from WST than Bullseye with 200gr lead SWC bullets. Also. the WST was cleaner than the Bullseye powder. Since I don't compete regularly anymore the slight edge is not really necessary. I saw an opportunity to purchase one pound of WST powder. After inquiring further I past on the deal since I had to purchase the WST and two to three pounds of Winchester 760 powder. I will reload the 7mm-08 with Varget, IMR4064 and IMR4350. Thanks.

Yankee,
I can't find Vit N140or Vit N150. When things get better I may try the Vit powders. So, I will stick to Varget, IMR4064 and IMR4350 for now. Thanks.
