More questions. I am going to order an Anschutz 1712 and would like to mount a Bushnell Elite 6-24x40 (that I already own) on it. Anschutz lists the weight of the 1712 at 7 lbs. 3oz., the Bushnell at 17.5 oz., that's 8lbs 8oz. the max weight allowed. Have or do any of you shoot a similar combination? If so, how to stay under weight maximum. Thanks, Tom

All rifles weigh just a bit different. Also depending on if you get the wood or composite stock. If it is over weight for hunter class just shoot it in standard class. Then figure what you need to do to make it lighter. A possible change in rings, scope or stock could be the difference. Most local matches do not weigh the rifles anyway and are glad to have you there to shoot. but if you go to a larger match like a state, regional or nationals be prepared to have your gun weighed.
