If this forum did not exist, I would not know about the classification change for 2016 or many other things that affect the running of our matches. We are thankful for the forum and the contributing posts from everyone here.

Atomicbrh Time for you to get signed up for the free USAShooting magazine from NRA. Just think we used to have to pay for that subscription. However now if you want a copy to file you'll have to print your own. That is where Dennis dropped the info about the new classification naming. Best wishes RJ

Oh, so you had already read the magazine and knew about the changes before March 31st at 1 pm? And this forum wasn't helpful at all in hearing what other people had to say about the subject. oh, ok.

I agree that this forum is great. If it wasn't for this place I would never have bought an Anschutz 1712 and I would be $1700 richer.
Yeah, people here are happy to spend your money.

Nope... I'd heard rumors before that date/time and it being published, but I pretty much ignored them, as rumors aren't what I care to take as truth/reality, particularly where rules and match policy/procedures are concerned.
As entertaining and useful as SteelChickens is for things like buying/selling and technical info sharing, the only thing that matters to ME for rule/policy changes and anything else official is what I read in the publication that was established to notify us of such.
Hearing what other folks THINK of the rule changes and implementation, while rather entertaining, certainly isn't what I'd classify as helpful information towards running the matches. To ME, the only words that matter on this particular subject come from the sanctioning body by who's rules we all agree to play.

I had a subscription to the publication when it was in paper form from the time my family began competitive shooting to the time it went online only. It is not efficient time-wise to read volumes of text about non-Silhouette events to find out one or two facts about silhouette every decade. My family shot many other disciplines and Silhouette is where its at for us. Thanks goes out again to those contributors who decipher the myriad of NRA policies and put it here in concise form.
