I'm about to purchase a 357 marlin and was wondering if anyone shot a standard 357 marlin vs the cowboy version with an octagon barrell. What kind of accuracy do you get at 100yars with the standard 357 marlin? What kind of accuracy do you get with the cowboy version at 100yards?

Glen, I just bought the plain jane Marlin 1894c and was wondering what ammo people are shooting in this gun. Any help please will be appreciated.

I was just about set on the 357 and then while driving my wife from one antique shop to another, I took a short break to go into a pawn shop in Enid Ok and on the rack was a cherry 1894m .22 magnum with a weatherby ( made by kahles?) 1.75 to 5 x scope.

I made the purchase and man what a shooter this thing is. If you try the 357 on the 200 yard targets, please drop a line. Maybe I can justify a CLA gun! My 39 for scl, and the 1894m for pistol cartridge. Now all I need to find is the proper cla gun.

Glen Ring,
Check out Kahles (pronounced call us), they are good scopes.
