Uh, no Bob. Even a few minutes digging puts the lie to that article.

Here's the gist of the problem:
"If the America people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currencies, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their prosperity" - TJ

Do you think that the best accomplish that is to tax the "haves" and give the money to the "have nots" then?

Has it ever occurred to anyone that the 2% actually pay most of the taxes that are then redistributed to the 98% Have nots?

This is utter nonsense and total Socialism regardless of what Bear thinks is middle ground!

If the majority of the 98% have nots (Bear's words, not mine and I do not agree with that percentage as I am definitely not in the 2%) would actually go out and try to get an education, job or even encourage their children to do the same, then we would not have the illegal immigrant problem as the jobs would be filled by individuals NOT on the Public Dole!

I am all for charity and helping the down and out, but NOT for handing out money to individuals that just sit on their ass and expect the US Government to take care of them!

Get a fucking life and a little self respect and this country would not have the problems that we have now!

I appreciate a good debate, but you are on the wrong side Bear and most of this forum will agree with me and not you. You may not call yourself Liberal, but any time you put the 98% - 2% thing up you are just wrong. The so-called 2% are paying for the fucktard assholes feeding from the public trough!

Exxon paid more in taxes than their profit for the last several years!

Your turn now!

What's the rant for? Anyone proposing taxation that punishes success is too dumb to run effectively and sure wouldn't get my vote. On the other hand people and companies gain wealth by charging $10 for something it cost $6 to market, build and deliver, and to do that they need people and infrastructure. Training and roads are expensive and it seems reasonable that everyone profiting from them gets to help pay for them. No free lunch for anybody and we all gain.

You mean expropriate wealth and re-distribute it? You are kidding, right? That won't work. That would destroy capital without creating anything sustainable, so why would you suggest it?

I'm not suggesting it. Obama is, to the point of using it as a central point of his campaign.

Eh? Where? It would mean draining his personal wealth, something he seems unlikely to do.

Yes, he'd have to pay a bit more but he wants the Presidency, so he's more than willing to pay more taxes to achieve that. It's very small change to him, comparatively.

"A bit more" is a long way from financial ruin. And it's going to take more than a bit to dig us out of the hole we're already in, regardless of who the next president is! $406 billion sounds like a lot to me, and I believe that's before the bailout costs for Fannie & Freddie, and the likely guarantees the Feds will give to back up Lehman Brothers.

If McCain or Obama were half as smart as they are ambitious they'd concede before the other guy could and let someone else inherit the mess. They'll have a very tough four years no matter what they do, so pick the candidate you really hate and vote for them...

McCain's hard to hate, but then there is the trust issue with Obama. Yes, I really don't know who to vote for, so this isn't just playing around for me. I'm looking for genuine reasons to go one way or the other and need facts, not rhetoric.

Bear,

If you are even considering voting for a Muslim asshole and a Liberal asshole, then you need some serious help!

McCain is not the best choice but is a true war hero in my opinion and that means a lot more to me than a Muslim raised piece of shit that has less experience running ANYTHING except taking money from government sources and writing two books about himself! Not to mention his past associates that are so radical it is insulting to the general public. This Barak Hussein Obama is more racist than ALL of the deep South put together!

You can rationalize whatever you want to about the issues, but the Democratic ticket is skirting all the important issues and just want change. What change do you ask? Why making America closer to a Socialistic State than ever!

Go ahead and take your time in deciding who to vote for. That is why we have private voting in booths, but I WILL tell you who I am voting for as I am not ashamed of who I will pull the lever for!

Fuck all the assholes that are supporting the Democratic ticket!

This may loose us some attendance at the Southern Nationals! If so , so be it!
