I think that a first year attendy should not even be thinking of one. I think the last shooter that uttered those words had his tungue explode and his eyeballs roll out onto the firing line after the shooting gods were pissed off. x_x

Actually the orange would not go well with his complexion... or he would have to wear a lot of makeup to be able to show the true meaning of the color Orange.

Now that we are in "BTB", I can respond appropriately to this matter. T-Bone or Hambone or whatever his nom de plume is doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground! It could be truthfully stated that first-year shooters can not receive the coveted Orange shirt, but it is possible. Malinois, remember that Jerry and I make the rules regardless of how eloquently or verbose you may try to be, you are still a pimple on an elephant's ass when it comes to bullshit!

We are able to see through real bullshit and the obvious attempt to try and persuade Jerry and me that one is not really trying! We have seen some really lame and to put it mildly, pretty fucked up and totally insulting attempts to try and get a shirt! As we only award a dozen each year, they are pretty rare.

We try to be totally unbiased in our picks, but one must realize that we are from Louisiana and we are most likely to be swayed by some type of bribe (such as a really good bottle of single malt Scotch). The bribe CANNOT be make by the person that would receive the shirt! Only a true and trusted confidant of the person seeking the shirt could pull it off. I feel compelled to tell you that even this will not guarantee a shirt! We just enjoy real good Scotch! Or other gifts!

I'm far too well behaved to ever earn an orange shirt, unless I can finagle to get arrested in Winnsboro and join the rest of the Democrats at the range. The downside of that is they don't get to shoot, so that sucks.

However, is it possible for Mary to become a repeat recipient? Lord knows she's earned it...

BB, you shouldn't have suggested getting you arrested in Winnsboro....Waaaay too easy to do....and remember, I'll have my camera just like last year when I caught the 5 bad moons at the tent heist.....man o man......you just think Arkansas jails are bad....

Bob,

Kitty is absolutely correct. Getting arrested in Winnsboro is way too easy. Just ask Henry Lee from Ireland! I seem to recall that he was escorted away in cuffs by a deputy sheriff at one of our two NRA Nationals! He was returned in perfect health after being almost delivered to the front door of the Detention Center. Too easy!!

We have only had one repeat Orange shirt recipient and that was due to Jerry and I being to lazy and ignorant to remember to whom we gave them!

Besdies, while I have worn my orange shirt wear it counts...to a Public Adminstration class on "ethics", it is carefully gaurded and worn only as needed.

ducky,

the double recipient that i am aware of, will not be in attendance. no need to fear a three-pete. they were one of the few first time attendees to receive one.
