Leupold BR 24 question II.....

Post by OnaginOffagin »

I also have a nice BR 24, which I bought used from a top northwest silhouette shooter...... my question:

I also have a 6-18 variable on my hunter gun, and I seem to hold a lot, lot better at about 12 - 10 power.....

Can or should I get the BR converted? Will Leupold drop the magnification, or is there someone else who can do it for me? And I suppose that would nullify the warranty.... hey?

Will anyone accept it for a trade toward a Leupold Variable?

(sorry, more questions than one, I guess!) :) :? :)

Just my opinion, but sell it and buy whatever you want. That's a nice scope that has probably retained value pretty well - I just bought one or I'd get in line!

That's probably very good advice, BlauBear, but I don't want to take it! :D :D

I don't want to get rid of the scope, just dial it down a notch if possible. I'm retired, on a very fixed income, and good new scopes are for me a serious undertaking. Someone told me that a Mr. Wally Seivers in Issaquah, Wa, could turn a 24X into a 16X, which I could live with....

Does anyone know Wally, and how I can get in touch with him?

Thanks!
