According to the latest info posted on the BKL website, a company called "Auto-Numatic" bought BKL and will be going back into production soon. Posts over at RFC Forums indicate production may start sometime later this spring.

The company that has bought out the BKL patents is AirForce Airguns,
Coates has spoken with them at the Shot Show and they are planning on carrying some of the line. They are trying to sort out some of the previous order mess, and then will be shipping him some more stock, he still has some of the double strap rings and some various bases, kind of thin in selection.

If AirForce is as successful providing BKL products to the market as they have been providing the long awaited compressed air(or multi-propellant?) "EDGE" sporter target rifle to the market I am going to be waiting awhile longer for the BKL order I placed in September 2008. Airforce keeps moving the arrival date back on the "EDGE". I hope this rifle will be the ideal entry level compressed air rifle for Air Rifle Silhouette at a reasonable cost when it is finally really available for sale to the consumer.

If I had known BKL might sell out for a reasonable price I would have tried to buy that company. BKL has great products. There is an abundance of machinists in my area with CNC and coating experience that are suddenly unemployed and some good commercial buildings available. I think I could have done the anodizing in house which seemed to be a major hurdle for the original company.

So true Bobby. Many are waiting for the Edge to come out it seems to have been delayed for a long time now. Not that they should rush something inferior to market but their own timelines are not that reliable as shown.

By the time it might make it out the new Crosman rifles should be out and the Challenger in PCP looks like it might be a good entry level rifle for 2 classes of silhouette air rifle. The Marauder is also a nice looking rifle from the pics I have seen. Personally I am not in the market for either makers rifles but for someone just getting involved with air rifle shooting and sils it is looking like the most cost effective way to go.

I hope they can get the BKL portion of the business up and running again ASAP as I also like their products and know the airgun world is missing them a lot.
