Hey, you guys up north lost something

Post by jneihouse »

Nasty, cold, clear slick stuff covering everything this morning...I know it doesn't belong down here...

By executive order, I, Commander Kitty, Commander in Chief of F Troop, hereby order you northern outpost guys to keep this stuff north of St Louis Mo.

Commander Kitty

You can forget the stuff that gets it that cold but sure could use some clear weather back this way, which usually comes with cold.

Wow... hopefully you won't lose any trees and power because of the trees falling... I hate ice storms more than the snow. 6-10" of the white stuff is supposed to hit here over night.

Lot's are without power a little further north near the Missouri line....We had a major ice storm here in 2000 and lost most of the trees around the power lines...and, fortunately, the tree trimmers were through here last week...Just in case had Mrs Kitty bring in extra firewood...

Thanks John, not seen it in these parts for a while. You can keep it we have no use for it, If you see that bright orange thing hanging around in the sky, you could send that up to us, not seen that for a while either.
Cheers Limey

Ah, Bob, most of us aren't going anywhere for awhile! We don't have snow tires or clearing equipment, so we just bunker in and hope the power stays on. Since we rarely get this stuff, we just keep the trees pruned, food in the pantry and bottled water.

Larry,

You're right...that does look like April in Washington. I new I was in trouble at PeEll the first time I saw the huge wood stoves set up behind the firing line..

The news says all you Norhern Southerners are without power due to the freezing weather. I really worry about y'all freezin to death so I got a suggestion, just get out that rifle and start practising! Once the barrel warms up it'll warm up the house and if the spouse complains just remind 'em your working hard to save their lives.

35-40C lately, can you send some of that ice over here?
Yeah I know we measure temperatures strangely.
