Such disrespect for the (presumed) dead! I expected better from you! Oh - wait - no I didn't...hambone49 wrote:If he is indeed alive, he should consider suicide after the way he shot at Winny.

Tbone/hambone and all maybe even Beaverbone...not a great place to focus on top notch shooting for someone like you, too many sights and sounds, we know you can't multitask well.

Hey, wait a minute. Athough I was humbly awarded the most coveted prize, I did lose out on the beaverbones. And why was my position always within smelling distance of the beer wagon?

That was Limey, not the Beer Wagon...hambone49 wrote:Hey, wait a minute. Athough I was humbly awarded the most coveted prize, I did lose out on the beaverbones. And why was my position always within smelling distance of the beer wagon?

Now wait another minute. Without Limey's help, I wouldn't be sporting a nice orange shirt at Katie's bible school concert tonite.

Re: Winnsboro was GREAT!
T or Ham Bone just remember to leave the Orange shirt at home next year! We do NOT want anyone recipient wearing them in the state of Louisiana as they may get picked up for real! Those are the actual shirts from the Franklin Parish Detention Center and we are fortunate that our Sheriff has a great sense of humor and allows us to award these to out-of-state shooters!
We are already planning a better match for next year. The stands at the firing line will be much improved as they will be all metal set in concrete. The better to color code them for the banks. That is all I am revealing at this time!

Re: Winnsboro was GREAT!
Thanks for the pictures. For those of you who have not attended Winnsboro, do not get the wrong idea if you are looking in detail at the pictures. There are more than 6 banks of animals. Chicken banks one through ten are all in the middle of the range. Banks 1 through 6 of the other animals spread off to the left and Banks 7 through 10 spread off to the right.
The firing point assignments are done so that a competitor never has to walk the entire length of the firing line. This prevents congestion with people and equipment passing each other on the line. You spend an entire 40 round match on either the left or the right side of the line and it usually varies which side of the line you are on during the course of the Southern National weekend to make conditions as equal as possible.
I just do not see any factor at this Match that is not carefully worked out in great detail to enhance the pure joy of shooting a Smallbore Silhouette Match. Plus, the kids at Winnsboro are the fastest and best target setters in the world.
There will be a time when this Match can no longer held. People running matchs age and housing developments even in rural areas affect shooting ranges.
Be a part of history. See you at Winnsboro the first full weekend in June 2010.

Atomic,
Thanks for the great write-up. We WILL run this match as long as Jerry and I are having fun!
Don't write us off too soon! Even thought we are old farts!
